Cultivation methods and precautions of trifoliate orange

Cultivation methods and precautions of trifoliate orange

1. Soil

Growing trifoliate oranges requires fertile, well-drained soil, and sandy soil is the best choice. You can also mix the soil with slag, river sand, broken bones, garden mud or rice field mud, and add some organic fertilizer with high humus content to make it more conducive to its growth.

2. Lighting

It likes light and is suitable for growing in places with sufficient light. It can be placed on a balcony or in a sunny place outdoors. Appropriate shade is needed in summer, but direct sunlight is acceptable at other times.

3. Temperature

It likes warm environment and is also cold-resistant. In summer, spring and autumn, keep the temperature at 15-23℃, and in winter, keep it at around 5℃.

4. Watering

It likes a slightly humid environment. In summer, you can water it once in the morning and evening every day. In spring and autumn, water it once a day or every other day. Each time you water it, you must water it thoroughly. Generally, spray water on the leaves first and then water the roots. In winter, it is generally sufficient to water it once every 3-5 days. Pay attention to controlling the amount of water and avoid water accumulation, otherwise it will be detrimental to its growth.

5. Fertilization

To grow trifoliate orange, you only need to apply appropriate fertilizer, and it requires more nitrogen fertilizer. Three months after planting, applying bean cake fertilizer will be more conducive to its growth.

6. Notes

1. How to grow indoors: When growing indoors, pay attention to ventilation and keep the air in the house circulating for a long time to avoid diseases and pests caused by lack of wind.

2. Time for fertilization: The first three months after planting is when the plant takes root deeply, so it is not suitable to apply fertilizer at this time. The best time to apply fertilizer is 3 months after planting.
