How to grow yellow wood fragrance flowers

1. Soil:

Yellow osmanthus is resistant to barrenness and has strong adaptability to soil, but it is more suitable for planting in soil with good drainage, deep and fertile soil layer. It also grows well in heavy clay soils.

2. Fertilization:

Yellow osmanthus flowers like fertilizer, and the base fertilizer is mainly organic fertilizer. Add liquid fertilizer once every half a month. Liquid fertilizer should be applied again before germination in early spring and after the flowers fade in June, and organic fertilizer should be applied during the dormant period to overwinter.

3. Watering:

The yellow osmanthus flower is not tolerant to waterlogging, so just keep the soil moist at ordinary times. In the hot summer season, you can increase the watering frequency appropriately, but be sure not to water too much to cause water accumulation.

4. Temperature:

The yellow osmanthus flower is not resistant to cold and high temperatures. Its cultivation requires a suitable temperature, with around 20°C being the best. In the summer when the temperature is high, you can take cooling measures. In the winter when the temperature is low, you can put it indoors to avoid frostbite.

5. Pest and disease control:

1. Diseases: The main diseases of yellow wood fragrance flowers are powdery mildew and leaf rust, which will harm the leaves and leaf stamens of yellow wood fragrance flowers, causing the plants to wither and even lead to death in severe cases. In the early stage of the disease, you can continuously spray 500-8020 times of 75% thiophanate-methyl wettable powder for prevention and control.

2. Pests: The main pest is the beetle, which can harm the roots, leaves, buds and other parts of the plant, seriously affecting the flower yield and quality. It can be controlled by spraying insecticides or by using trapping and killing techniques.
