What does jasmine look like and what does it represent?

1. What does it look like?

Jasmine, also known as jasmine, is a relatively common flower. It can emit a strong fragrance and is suitable for cultivation at home. It is a general term for evergreen shrubs or vines of the genus Jasmine in the family Oleaceae. The branches are slender and vine-like, the leaves are simple, opposite and shiny, the leaf shape is broadly ovate or elliptical, the veins are obvious, and the leaf surface is slightly wrinkled. The flowers are in cymes, terminal or axillary, usually 3-12 in number, white in color, with a strong fragrance. The flowering period is mostly from June to October.

2. What does it represent?

The flower language of jasmine is loyalty, respect, purity, chastity, simplicity, exquisiteness and charm. It represents pure and simple qualities, steadfast love, and precious friendship. It is suitable for giving to friends, lovers, and guests to express your pure emotions.

3. Growth habits

Jasmine likes a warm and humid growing environment, and will grow more luxuriantly in a well-ventilated and semi-shaded environment. The best soil for planting is slightly acidic sandy loam rich in humus. Most jasmines are afraid of cold and are intolerant to drought, frost, waterlogging and alkaline soil. When the temperature is below 3℃ in winter, the plants are easily frozen. Moreover, in other seasons, the leaves will turn yellow and fall off when hit by cold winds. Therefore, during daily care, be careful not to let jasmine suffer from cold or wind.
