Breeding methods and precautions of hairy starfish

1. Maintenance methods

1. Soil: Slightly acidic Akadama soil is its favorite, which can fix its roots well and has good air permeability. You can add some peanut crumbs to the soil to increase nutrients.

2. Light: It likes to bask in the sun, so try to let it absorb more sunlight. When natural light is not enough, you can also use lights to supplement it.

3. Temperature: It likes a warm environment and can grow fast at a temperature of 15℃~25℃. It can't stand if the temperature is below 5℃, so you need to pay attention to protection in winter.

4. Flower pots: There are two conditions for choosing flower pots, air permeability and drainage. A ceramic pot can meet its needs well, and a tile should be placed at the bottom to help drainage.

2. Breeding techniques

1. Wintering: If there is sunlight in winter, try to put it in the sun. In addition, temperature is also very important. Its living environment cannot be lower than 10℃. If there is no light, it is recommended to use lights to meet its needs.

2. Summer: It hates hot and humid environment. When the temperature is high in summer, it should be placed in a place where it cannot be exposed to the sun, and the ventilation must be good.

3. Problem diagnosis and treatment

1. Scale insects: Scale insects will parasitize in the center of its leaves and are difficult to detect. Scale insects will absorb nutrients from its leaves. If you find them, you can spray them with Flower Protector two or three times.

2. Anthracnose: Brown spots will appear on the leaves in the early stage of the disease. When the spots are found, the diseased leaves should be removed and destroyed in time, and sprayed with Anthracnose Fumei for prevention and control.

IV. Other issues

1. Can it be grown indoors: It can be grown indoors and usually placed in a sunny and ventilated place such as a balcony. But avoid direct sunlight in summer and remember to keep the temperature above 10℃ in winter.

2. Whether it can be exposed to rain: If the water is not drained in time after being exposed to rain, it will easily get sick, so try to avoid letting it get exposed to rain. When watering, avoid the leaves and just keep the soil moist.
