Wax apple grows in Guangdong, Yunnan, Hainan, Fujian and Guangxi in my country. It has a particularly long history of cultivation in Taiwan, and the planting area is also relatively large. It has good adaptability, so it can survive in sandy soil, red soil, clay soil, or alkaline soil.

2. Morphological characteristics

Wax apple is a relatively common fruit. It belongs to a tree. The skin of the fruit is magenta and slightly shiny. It is pear-shaped and cone-shaped, not very big, only 4-5cm long. Its tip is slightly concave and the fruit matures in July-August.

3. Growth habits

1. It is very afraid of severe cold weather, and the temperature suitable for its growth is 25-30℃. If the cultivation temperature is 7℃, its flower buds and young fruits will fall off due to the low temperature.

2. It has a high demand for water, and the moisture content in the soil must be sufficient. It is also waterlogged tolerant, so it can survive even in areas that are frequently flooded.
