How to breed Thor

How to breed Thor

1. Maintenance methods

1. Temperature: Thor likes warm environment and is not very cold-resistant. The normal growth temperature is between 18 and 25 degrees. It cannot be outdoors in winter, so it can be kept indoors. An environment with a larger temperature difference is more conducive to its growth.

2. Watering: For the normal growth of Thor, the soil needs to be kept dry, not too humid. If it is too humid, the branches and leaves of the plant will turn yellow. If there is water accumulation in the flowerpot, the roots of the plant will also rot. Therefore, the number of watering should not be too many. Generally, it is watered about once every ten days during the growth period. It can be watered once a week during the high temperature in summer. In winter, you need to control watering.

3. Light: Thor needs warm and sufficient light for normal growth and normal color. If there is not enough light, the red color around its leaves will fade and its ornamental value will be reduced.

4. Fertilization: There is not much requirement for fertilizer, because Thor can grow normally in poor soil. Of course, if you give it some fertilizer in moderation, it can also grow more vigorously. At the same time, you cannot apply phosphorus fertilizer to it in winter, which can help it survive the winter.

2. Breeding techniques

1. Reproduction: Cutting and division are two methods. The survival rate of succulent cuttings is relatively high, so directly choose disease-free branches and leaves, dry the wounds in the sun, and then insert them into the soil. Division is to separate the small plants around the mother plant when repotting and replant them.

2. Pruning: The branches and leaves of Thor's plant age easily, and the old branches and leaves need to be cut off in time to facilitate the growth of new branches and leaves, while also maintaining its ornamental effect.

3. Problem diagnosis and treatment

1. Disease: Root rot will occur, which will cause root rot. It is mainly caused by insufficient ventilation. It can be controlled by using carbendazim solution.

2. Pests: Red spider mites will make its leaves dull, and they can be dealt with by pruning when they first appear.

IV. Other issues

1. Toxicity: Non-toxic, succulent plants are suitable for cultivation.

2. Can it be raised at home? Yes, it has a high ornamental value and does not require too much energy to raise.
