Why are the leaves of Trumpet Creeper drying up? The leaves are withering and curling

Why are the leaves of Trumpet Creeper drying up? The leaves are withering and curling

1. Too much watering

Reason: Although it likes water and a humid environment, it is not tolerant to waterlogging. Do not water it too much and there should not be water accumulation, otherwise the roots will find it difficult to breathe and will rot, causing the leaves to turn yellow and dry up.

Solution: Stop watering and let the moisture in the soil evaporate. Usually, you should increase ventilation and expose the plant to more sunlight so that the moisture can evaporate faster. In addition, the frequency and amount of watering should be reduced in the later stage, and water accumulation must not occur again.

2. Lack of light

Reason: It is a plant that likes light, so it needs to be exposed to more sunlight. If the plant is not exposed to the sun for a long time and is kept in a dark environment, it will easily grow too tall, the leaves will turn yellow, and even slowly wither.

Solution: Move the plant to a bright place and let it get more sun. It can be maintained in full sunlight in spring, autumn and winter. In the summer, provide appropriate shade when the sun is strong to avoid burning the leaves.

3. Improper fertilization

Reason: Trumpet creeper is relatively fertilizer-hungry and needs to be fertilized regularly during the growing period in order to grow vigorously. However, only thin fertilizers should be applied frequently. Do not apply too much at one time or the concentration of fertilizer should be too high, otherwise it will cause fertilizer damage, burn the roots, and the leaves will turn yellow and wither.

Solution: dilute the fertilizer with clean water as soon as possible and drain the fertilizer liquid. If the fertilizer damage is serious, it is best to remove the plant from the pot, change the soil, prune the roots and replant.
