How to keep potted bamboo alive

1. Choose the right soil

It likes to grow in loose, well-drained loam that is acidic or neutral, with a pH value between 4.5 and 7.0. You can mix vermiculite or peat soil with perlite. This kind of substrate is very suitable and conducive to survival. Be sure to avoid using heavy loam, and alkaline loam is also not suitable.

2. Water supplement

Water is very important. It likes moisture but is afraid of stagnant water. When you first start planting, you need to water it thoroughly, then keep it moist and spray water mist on the leaves. It varies according to the season. In summer, you need to water once every 1-2 days. In winter, less water is needed, so the amount of water should be reduced, but it cannot be stopped. If you find that the leaves are bending, it means that the plant is lacking water and should be watered immediately.

3. Apply nutrients

The fertilizer applied is generally compound fertilizer, and appropriate nutrients should be added after the plants take root. Supplement nutrients in time during the growth stage, the concentration should not be too high, and the frequency can be increased.

4. Supplement of light

Different seasons have different requirements for light. In summer, it can be placed in a cool place, away from the scorching sun, and properly shaded. In winter, place it in a sunny place where it can get exposure to light.
