Cultivation methods and precautions for potted lemons

Cultivation methods and precautions for potted lemons

1. Potting soil

1. Flower pot: Lemon roots prefer more breathable flower pots. If you are a novice, it is recommended to choose a clay pot. Although the appearance is not very beautiful, it is more suitable for plant growth.

2. Flower soil: To grow it, you need to use weakly acidic flower soil with a certain fertilizer retention ability. Specifically, you can mix sandy soil, garden soil and leaf mold to make its flower soil.

2. Watering

It needs an adequate supply of water to grow. Especially in summer, you can water more without water accumulation, which can replenish the water evaporated from the plant. However, in late autumn and winter, the frequency of watering needs to be reduced to avoid affecting the differentiation of flower buds.

3. Fertilization

During the growing season, it is necessary to apply some thin fertilizer to it regularly to provide nutrients and support its growth. But be careful not to apply it too frequently; it should be determined according to the growth of the plant. If the growth is good, apply more applications; if the growth is poor, apply less applications.

IV. Precautions

1. Pruning: before winter. At this time, you should cut off its old and weak branches, and then thin out the overly dense flower branches to ensure that it can safely survive the winter.

2. Repotting: Because it requires more nutrients to grow, most of the nutrients in the soil will be absorbed by it every 1-2 years. At this time, it is best to replace it with new soil with sufficient fertility to ensure its better growth.
