This "vegetable" is more expensive than pork. Planting one pot at home doesn't cost a dime.

Growing vegetables is indeed a cost-effective thing. This practice not only enriches everyone's spare time life and cultivates one's sentiments, but also allows oneself to gain something and be happy. It is really a good thing!

Today Huahua is here to recommend another vegetable to everyone. I saw a merchant selling it in the market a few days ago. It seems that it is the season for eating asparagus. So Huahua quickly tells friends who want to grow asparagus at home how to grow asparagus.

Friends who know how to eat must know that the price of asparagus is not low among vegetables, but you get what you pay for. Although this asparagus is expensive, its nutritional value is relatively high among vegetables. Growing asparagus is actually not difficult. Let Huahua explain it slowly.

To grow asparagus, you usually buy seeds from the market and soak them in warm water, about 30 degrees. Soak for about five days so that the asparagus seeds can germinate faster.

When choosing soil, you should mainly choose loose and breathable soil. Because we are planting seeds, it is better to have fertile soil, which can help the later germination and seedling cultivation. It is also best to mix some granular materials such as sand and gravel into it to increase the air permeability of the soil.

After the seeds have been soaked for five days, it is best to place the seeds in a wet towel and let them sit for a while. This process is called germination. After about three days, observe whether the seeds have turned white. If they have turned white, you can put the seeds in the prepared soil. Don't bury it too deep, just lightly cover it with a layer.

It is best to place the asparagus seedlings in a place with scattered light when they are just starting to grow. When they are about ten to fifteen centimeters long, you can place the asparagus in a sunny place to grow. Asparagus also likes a humid environment, so it is best to keep the soil slightly moist.

Generally speaking, as long as you ensure that the asparagus gets enough light, keep the soil moist, and apply some organic fertilizer to the asparagus on time, you can grow healthy asparagus! When the asparagus is almost grown, you can harvest it and serve it on the table. When harvesting, be careful not to pull it up by the roots, otherwise the asparagus will not grow. Just cut it off.

If you don’t know what to plant on your balcony, you can plant some asparagus, which is very nutritious!
