How often should I water the Hongyun Dangtou?

How often should I water the Hongyun Dangtou?

1. Time

Watering does not need to be particularly frequent. Although it likes moisture, we must pay close attention to it. Generally speaking, we should water in the morning and not in the middle of the night, especially in winter. Normally, we should water it once a week, because this is equivalent to waiting until all the water is dry.

We need to do this every day in summer to make the air less dry and to prevent the leaves and branches from withering. Because the temperature is relatively high and stuffy at this time, it is easy for it to burn and wither. Don’t water too much in winter, generally you need to water every ten or fifteen days.

2. Method

There are some requirements for where we water the plants. Generally speaking, watering into the leaf cup is the correct approach. Because it likes moisture, we need to ensure that there is sufficient water in it, and the soil also needs to be kept moist.

When watering, we cannot use tap water. If tap water is the only option, we have to dry it in the sun for a few days before using it. Watering should start from the top. When it is dormant in winter, you need to control the moisture. You can do this by sprinkling water on its leaves.

Also, please note that when watering, we cannot just pour it into the pot. The order should be from top to bottom so that the absorption rate will be better. And if there is no water in the cup, its leaves will easily turn yellow.

3. Note

In addition, our water quality needs to be guaranteed. After watering with fertilizer, we cannot water with fertilizer frequently. We should use clean water and do not water too frequently. In drier weather or days with lower temperatures, it can easily become scorched, so at this time we can spray some water on it every day and fill the cup with water.
