How does the fortune tree survive the winter? Will it be frozen to death in winter?

1. Adjust the temperature

The money tree is a plant that likes warmth and cannot tolerate cold climates, so it is difficult for it to grow normally in a low temperature environment. If the surrounding temperature is too low, it may be frozen to death. In winter, we need to adjust the temperature properly to avoid yellowing and wilting of leaves due to low temperatures. When the temperature drops in winter, move the money tree indoors and keep the temperature above 10℃ and not lower than 5℃.

2. Get enough light

The intensity of sunlight in winter is very low and will not harm the plants, so you can choose to expose them to more light at this time and keep them in sufficient sunlight to achieve full light exposure. More sunlight at this time can not only promote photosynthesis and make the plants grow strong, but also increase the growth temperature.

3. Control water and fertilizer

The growth rate of the money tree slows down in winter, so the demand for water and fertilizer decreases. Wait until the soil is completely dry before watering each time, and keep the soil in the pot dry. Fertilization can be suspended first. If the plant is still growing, you can apply a small amount of fertilizer to maintain good nutrients. Be sure to control the dosage and don't give too much.

4. Proper ventilation

When the temperature is higher at noon, you can open the windows appropriately to promote air circulation and reduce the possibility of yellowing leaves.

5. Notes

When keeping it indoors, be careful to avoid some heating equipment to prevent the leaves from turning yellow.
