The difference between purple-backed amaranth and blood-skinned vegetable

1. Leaf Difference

The leaves of purple-backed gypsophila are basal, with long petioles. The leaves are unequal on both sides and have a broad ovate outline. They are 6 to 13 cm long and 4.8 to 8.5 cm wide. The tip gradually becomes pointed, the base is slightly oblique, and the base is heart-shaped or deeply heart-shaped. The leaf edges have triangular serrations of varying sizes, sometimes notched. The leaves are scattered with short hairs on the upper side and light green on the lower side.

The leaves of bloodleaf are obovate or oblanceolate, vaguely oblong-lanceolate, about 5 to 10 cm long and 2.5 to 4 cm wide. The top of the leaves is pointed or gradually becomes pointed, the base is wedge-shaped and gradually narrows, the leaves are green on the upper side and turn purple when dry on the lower side.

2. Flower Differences

The scape of purple-backed sunflower is 6 to 18 cm high, glabrous, with pink flowers in cymes. The pedicels are 1.5 to 2 cm long, glabrous, with 4 red tepals.

The small flowers of blood-lemon are orange-yellow or red, and the corolla extends clearly out of the involucre, is 13 to 15 mm long, and the lobes are ovate-triangular.
