How to grow Cosmos

How to grow Cosmos

1. Soil

Cosmos is suitable for growing in fertile, loose soil with good drainage. When growing it, you cannot use too fertile soil, otherwise its branches and leaves will become seriously too tall, which is not conducive to seed production.

2. Temperature

It likes a relatively warm environment and is afraid of heat. When the temperature is too high in summer, certain methods need to be taken to cool it down.

3. Lighting

It is a light-loving plant and requires a certain amount of sunlight to grow. However, it is a short-day plant and cannot be exposed to sunlight for too long before flowering and seeding.

4. Water and fertilizer

It is not very demanding on fertilizer and water. During the growth period, it is sufficient to apply 5 times the amount of decomposed urine mixed with water once every 10 days.
