How to cultivate Commelina communis

1. Soil

Commelina does not have too high requirements for soil, but it is best to grow it in loose sandy soil. You can also mix leaf mold, garden soil and coarse sand for use.

2. Lighting

It has strong growth ability and can grow normally in a sunny or semi-shady environment. However, it cannot be grown in an overly dark environment for a long time, otherwise the leaves will turn into light pink-green and will also cause excessive growth.

3. Temperature

It is best to give it a growing environment of 20-30℃, and at night the temperature should be controlled at 10-18℃. The temperature is usually lower in winter, so the temperature should be adjusted appropriately, and the minimum temperature should not be lower than 10℃.

4. Watering

Commelina likes a slightly moist growing environment and can be watered every day during the growing period. Appropriate spraying of water when the weather is dry can also increase the air humidity. In summer, the breeding environment must be kept sufficiently humid. In winter, you should water less, as long as the soil in the pot is kept moist.
