1. Morphological characteristics

1. Rich coconut. Its stem is relatively thick and short, and its leaves are feather-shaped, ranging in length from 50 cm to 80 cm. The front part is slightly curved, but the overall shape is relatively flat. The leaves are dark green and shiny. When the fruit trees are mature, they are reddish brown, and the fruits are round. Its fruiting season is between October and December.

2. Miniature coconut. The height of its potted plant generally does not exceed 1 meter. The stem is relatively straight and does not branch. The stem is dark green in color. The leaves generally grow at the top of the branches and are the same dark green color as the stem. The length of the leaves is 14 cm to 22 cm and the width is 2 cm to 3 cm. Its flowers are yellow, its fruits are orange, and it blooms in spring.

2. Growth habits

1. Rich coconut. It likes a warm and humid environment and is relatively shade-tolerant. Its seedlings must grow well in a shading environment of 70% to 80%. When they grow up a little, they will be able to withstand direct sunlight. It is also quite cold-resistant, but it still needs to be above 0 degrees Celsius to survive.

2. Miniature coconut. The most suitable temperature for its growth is 20 degrees Celsius to 30 degrees Celsius. When the temperature is below 13 degrees Celsius, it will stop growing. The lowest temperature in winter must be controlled above 3 degrees Celsius, otherwise it will be frozen to death. It likes fertile soil and does not require much fertilizer, but the air must be kept at a certain level of humidity.

3. Application Value

1. Rich coconut. It is usually used to decorate home environment or urban greening. The most important thing is that its Feng Shui effect is popular with many people.

2. Miniature coconut. It can purify benzene, formaldehyde and trichloroethylene in the air, and it also has high ornamental value. It is usually placed in halls, living rooms, conference rooms, waiting rooms and other places, and it is particularly effective in beautifying the interior.
