Maintenance methods of silver longevity

Maintenance methods of silver longevity

The habits of silver longevity

Silver longevity likes warm and dry environment, is relatively drought-resistant, and is afraid of extreme heat and cold winter.

The best growth temperature for silver longevity is about 15℃-25℃, and the growing season is in spring and autumn.

Long-term lack of water will cause the leaves to shrink; extreme heat will stop it from growing; and excessively low temperatures will cause the leaves of the silverscented plant to freeze and die.

Maintenance methods of silver longevity

The silver longevity plant can be placed in a place with bright light and no direct sunlight. The potting soil can be peat soil with a well-drained medium. For example: pearl stone, vermiculite, etc.

Water only when the soil in the pot is dry, and make sure it is watered thoroughly. The plant of silver longevity does not have high requirements for fertilizer, and adding an appropriate amount of organic matter will do.

During the high temperatures of summer, the growth of the silversun plant slows down or even stops. It needs to be placed in a ventilated and cool place to avoid plant rot caused by stuffiness and humidity, and to avoid water accumulation in the soil.

In winter, it should be moved to a warm and bright place and the temperature should be maintained above 12℃ to ensure that the plant can continue to grow.
