illumination

The chandelier hibiscus is a strong sun-loving plant. It requires plenty of sunlight when cultivated and is not shade-tolerant. Therefore, it must be cultivated in full sunlight without shade. It is best to move it to a sunny place outdoors in early May.

soil

The chandelier hibiscus has a strong adaptability to soil and a wide range of adaptability, but its growth conditions are different in different soil matrices. It grows best in slightly acidic loam rich in organic matter and with a pH of 6.5-pH7.

Fertilization

During the growth period of Chandelure Hibiscus, increase the amount of fertilizer and water, apply fertilizer every 7-10 days, and the fertilizer solution should be relatively thin.

Management after autumn should be cautious, and attention should be paid to applying less fertilizer in the later period to avoid the growth of autumn shoots.

Watering

Watering is necessary during the growing season. The plant should not be short of water or suffer from waterlogging. Usually, the plant should be watered once a day, and once in the morning and evening during the dog days of summer.

Water the ground frequently to increase humidity and reduce temperature, preventing tender leaves from scorching and flowers from falling prematurely.

Precautions in the cultivation of chandelier hibiscus

Increase light during the growing season

Early May is the growing season of chandelier hibiscus. If there is insufficient light at this time, the flower buds will easily fall off and the flowers will shrink.

Therefore, during the growing period, the chandelier hibiscus must receive at least 8 hours of sunlight per day.

Controlling ambient temperature in winter

Chandelier hibiscus is not frost-resistant, so at the end of October, when the weather turns cooler, the chandelier hibiscus should be moved into the greenhouse for cultivation, and the surrounding temperature should be kept above 12°C.

Apply more fertilizer during the growing season

Chandelier Hibiscus usually has a relatively large demand for fertilizer. It consumes a lot of nutrients during the growth period and has an even greater demand for fertilizer. Therefore, during breeding, you should pay attention to timely light supplementation and increase the number of fertilizations as appropriate.
