Does Schefflera oleifera bloom?

Flowering period

Schefflera is native to Guangzhou, Fujian and other places in my country, where the climate is warm and humid. Most varieties will bloom in November, and the flowering period is about two months. In the greening of Guangzhou, Fujian and other places, variegated Schefflera is often planted together with other flowers that bloom in spring and summer, just to make up for the lack of flowers in winter. In the garden, clusters of Schefflera trees are blooming with small white flowers, which is a very beautiful scene.

What are the benefits of flowering

Although the flowers of Schefflera may seem inconspicuous, in the south, the small white flowers are the main nectar source for bees in winter.

The life span of a single Schefflera flower is not long, and it will wither soon after blooming. After the petals wither, the calyx will grow into a green spherical fruit the size of a mung bean.
