The growth process of fruit radish has four growth stages. From the time the seeds are sown in the soil, they will germinate after 4-5 days. At this time, they need to be maintained and managed to allow the fruit radish to quickly grow true leaves. Then after about 1 month, the fruit radish will mature.

The growing period of fruit radish is about 60 days, and fruit radish is suitable for planting from May to July each year. Summer radish is suitable for planting in May or June, and can be harvested around August. Autumn radish is suitable for planting in July and can be harvested in mid-September. If sowing too early, the quality of the radish will easily be reduced.

Fruit radish growing conditions

The most important growing condition for fruit radish is suitable soil. Fruit radish likes light and is not resistant to waterlogging. Therefore, it is necessary to choose a place with sufficient light and higher terrain for planting. The soil should be turned over half a month before sowing to ensure that the soil is loose and breathable so that the radish can grow better.

Management of Fruit Radish during Growth Period

During the growing period of fruit radish, attention should be paid to thinning and transplanting. After the fruit radish grows 5 to 6 true leaves, it can be transplanted. Only one seedling should be kept in each hole for maintenance. In addition, weeding should be carried out when the weather is breathable and sunny to prevent the nutrients of the fruit radish from being absorbed by weeds. Add ammonia fertilizer and organic fertilizer during the vigorous growth period of fruit radish, and apply phosphorus and potassium fertilizers in the later growth stage to promote fruit enlargement.
