When does Cineraria bloom?

When does Cineraria bloom?

1. When to bloom

The time when it blooms is generally not certain, because different sowing times will also affect its flowering time. But under normal circumstances, it will bloom in April or May. If you want it to bloom during the Spring Festival, you can plant it in August of the previous year. If you want it to bloom on Labor Day, just plant it in October of the previous year. Generally, if you don’t have too many requirements for its flowering period, it will bloom from April to May.

2. Maintenance during flowering period

1. Temperature

If you want it to bloom longer, you need to adjust the temperature appropriately. Generally, the best temperature is between 10 and 15 degrees. If the temperature is too high, it may greatly shorten its flowering time.

2. Lighting

When it blooms, we cannot let it be exposed to direct sunlight. It is best to place it in a diffused light area indoors and let it bask in the sun occasionally. If the light is too strong, the flowers will fall prematurely.

3. Watering

Watering is important during the flowering period. If the soil you choose has good air permeability, you only need to water it once a day. In addition, if the indoor air is too dry, you can spray some water to increase the air humidity.

4. Appropriate fertilization

When its flower buds begin to differentiate and develop, you should be careful when choosing fertilizer. Usually, phosphorus and potassium fertilizers should be used as the main fertilizers. Once the flower buds grow out, stop fertilizing immediately.
