When does calendula bloom?

When does calendula bloom?

1. When does it bloom?

It blooms from approximately June to October every year. When it is about to bloom, we will observe a phenomenon that the leaves in the center of the plant will turn into a very glossy color. Sometimes we can only observe changes on the front of the leaves, and sometimes we can observe changes at the top.

2. Things to note when flowering

The first one is of course its temperature. Only when it is in a suitable state can its flowering quality be good. In addition, under very suitable temperature conditions, it is possible to bloom early. The most suitable temperature range for it to bloom is between fifteen and twenty degrees.

The second is sunshine. Among all the factors that can affect its flowering, light is the most indispensable one. Generally speaking, at least four or five hours of sunlight should be ensured every day. Don't worry, even direct sunlight will not cause harm to this plant.

The third key factor is fertilizer. You don’t need to worry too much about fertilizer at ordinary times, but you must pay attention to it during the flowering period, because flowering consumes a lot of nutrients and needs to be supplemented artificially.

It is worth mentioning that in addition to the flower fertilizers sold on the market, rice water is also a kind of flower fertilizer with extremely high nutritional content. It is both affordable and does not cause pollution.
