How to take care of the newly bought fairy finger

How to take care of the newly bought fairy finger

1. Soil

After buying the fairy finger home, you should first observe the condition of the potting soil. If the potting soil is severely clumped and hard, it may be that the soil is too alkaline and sticky, and the soil needs to be replaced. When repotting, use loose and fertile soil. You can use local materials, such as garden soil and leaf mold, mixed with some river sand, so that the permeability and soil fertility can meet its requirements.

2. Environment

It does not have high requirements for the environment, it is very resilient and is easy to cultivate and survive. But if you want to raise it well, it is best to give it a good living environment. There should be plenty of sunlight and the temperature should be the normal home temperature. Pay attention to appropriate cooling in summer, and it is best not to drop below 5℃ in winter to ensure it survives the winter. It needs good light throughout the year, otherwise it will bloom less and its branches and stems will become thinner, and it needs appropriate shade in summer.

3. Watering

Don't water it right after you buy it. Too much water can cause the roots to rot. During the growing season, you can water it sufficiently, and water it when the soil is dry. It will hibernate in the winter when the temperature is low, so water less and keep the soil dry.

4. Fertilization

No need to fertilize before repotting. Generally, it is not necessary to fertilize it, but you can apply phosphorus-potassium compound fertilizer several times in autumn.

5. Repotting

When repotting, you can use breathable clay pots, purple clay pots, etc., and be careful not to damage the strong roots. It is necessary to trim rotten roots, dead roots and old roots. If conditions permit, you can use sterilizer to disinfect them, dry them, and then plant them in pots.
