The language of water lilies

The flower language of water lilies is cleanliness, innocence, enchantment and purity, welcoming vitality and casting away old age. In ancient Greece, Rome and other countries, water lilies, like lotus flowers, were the embodiment of beauty and holiness and were often used to worship goddesses.

Water lilies are also the birthday flower for August 5th. In the eyes of Germans, the flower language of water lilies is enchantment. People who are blessed by this flower are born with an irresistible charm to the opposite sex, but it is difficult for them to get along peacefully with the opposite sex.

In ancient Egypt, water lilies were known as "sacred flowers". In Egyptian temples, water lilies were common totems and a symbol of blessing for "only beginnings and no disillusionment".

The origins of the various names of water lilies

It is said that the genus name of water lily is Nymphaea, which means: goddess of water.

Water lily is the goddess of mountains, forests and swamps. The ancient Egyptians called water lily the bride of the Nile. In addition, water lily is also known as perfume lily and fairy flower, which fully reflects its flower language - enchanting.

In addition, water lilies are also divided according to their colors, such as red water lilies, blue water lilies, yellow water lilies, and white water lilies. The most common flower in my country is the white water lily, which usually blooms from midnight (1 a.m.) to noon (12 noon) every day. After 12 noon, it will gradually close, so it is called "Ziwu Lotus".

The cultural significance of water lilies

The water lily is the national flower of Thailand, Bangladesh and Egypt. Thailand believes in Buddhism, and the lotus has always been closely related to Buddhism. In Buddhism, whether the Buddha or Bodhisattva is standing or sitting, there is the shadow of the lotus, symbolizing solemnity. Most Buddhists love lotus, and water lily is one of them.
