The efficacy and function of daylily

Clears heat and promotes diuresis, cools blood and stops bleeding. Used for mumps, jaundice, cystitis, hematuria, dysuria, lack of milk, irregular menstruation, epistaxis, and bloody stool. Used externally to treat mastitis.

It is mainly used to treat sand stranguria and water retention. People with yellow jaundice all over their body can drink the juice of the root. If nose bleeding is caused by high fever, grind a large cup of juice, add half a cup of ginger juice, and swallow it slowly. Crush the root and take it with wine, and apply the residue on the breasts to promote lactation and treat breast abscess and swelling.

Dosage and Usage of Hemerocallis

10-20 grams, apply externally in appropriate amount and mash it and apply to the affected area.

Selection of daylily

Treats hematuria, leucorrhea, and painful urination

Take 30g each of daylily, cat's hair grass and raw imperata root and 15g of mountain twig fruit, decocted in water and taken orally.

Treating hemorrhage in women

Add 120 grams of fresh daylily root to three bowls of water and boil it into one bowl. Remove the residue and add three eggs (fried) and boil together.

Treat blood in stool

90-120 grams of fresh daylily root and 120 grams of pork red meat, decocted in water and taken orally.

Treats red and painful urination

Take 15 grams each of daylily, herbaceous clover, and camellia sinensis, decocted in water and taken orally.

Treat mumps

Stew 60 grams of daylily root with appropriate amount of rock sugar, and use fresh roots to mash and apply externally.

To treat overwork, injuries, chest and flank pain: decocted 15-30 grams of dried daylily flowers in water.

Treat rheumatoid arthritis

30-60 grams of fresh daylily root, 1 pig's foot, add 1 jin of rice wine, or half water and half rice wine, stew for about 2 hours, and take before meals.

To treat toothache caused by stomach fire: decocted 30-60 grams of fresh daylily in water.
