If the "cherry tomatoes" you grow at home don't bear fruit, pay attention to these 3 points and the fruits will hang on the branches in 30 days!

If we talk about the most popular choice for growing fruits on the balcony, cherry tomatoes will definitely be chosen. Because cherry tomatoes are easy to grow, taste sweet and sour, and are rich in nutrients. However, sometimes even small tomato potted plants that are so easy to grow do not bear fruit. Why is that? After Huahua asked, I realized that in order to grow good tomatoes, you have to put in a lot of effort from the very beginning.

1. Select soil and sow seeds

Cherry tomatoes grown at home are usually planted in pots. At this time, we require the planting soil in the flowerpot to be able to provide sufficient nutrients. When planting cherry tomatoes, do not choose the flower potting soil sold in the market, because the flower potting soil has been sterilized at high temperature and can be used to grow flowers but not vegetables. The best choice of planting soil is humus containing leaves. The nutrients contained in humus can promote the growth of cherry tomato seedlings.

2. Seed Planting

If you want to grow tomatoes in potted plants well, it is best not to put the seeds directly in when sowing. Before sowing, we need to process the seeds. The first step is to soak the seeds to be sown in warm water of about 50 degrees for about twelve hours, and then they can be sown in the soil prepared in advance. When sowing, it is best to control the spacing at about 10 cm. After all the seeds are planted, you can cover them with a layer of plastic wrap and wait until the seeds germinate before opening it.

3. Prepare for repotting

This step is the most important of all the steps, because the effectiveness of transplanting is related to the future growth of the cherry tomato seedlings. When the tomato seedlings have grown a few leaves, they can be transplanted. The first step is that we need to dig out the seedlings, being careful not to damage the grown roots; the second step is to insert the seedlings directly into the soil prepared in advance; finally, fix the seedlings and then water them.

The successful transplanting of the tomato seedlings means that they are halfway to success, and the subsequent care should not be taken lightly. Cherry tomatoes need sufficient light and water during their growth period, both of which are indispensable. In addition, you need to apply some fertilizer to the tomato seedlings almost every week. Rice water is a good choice. If your tomatoes still haven't borne fruit, you need to consider pruning them. Generally, there will be no problem after pruning.

Eating the sour and sweet tomatoes that I grew myself really makes me feel happy. If you have any better recommendations for fruit potted plants, please leave a message to tell Huahua!
