If the leaves of the money tree and the gardenia turn yellow, don’t ignore it, or you may get into big trouble!

Are the leaves of the money tree turning yellow, curling and drooping?

Long-term disability symptoms

The leaves of the money tree are prone to problems in summer. They turn yellow, curl, droop, and wilt, making people want to pull it out completely!

The reason for the stumpy growth: It’s very simple. Either there is too much water or too much fertilizer, which damages the roots, or there is too little water or too much light, which damages the leaves!

Solution

1. Grow in diffuse light and spray with water more often: pick off the yellow leaves, grow in diffuse light, water every 3 days, and spray water on the leaves every morning and evening. The leaves will curl if they are too dry.

2. Ventilate more: The root system of the money tree is weak and it is most afraid of being stuffy. In summer, you must open windows more often for ventilation. When you water too much, you must quickly pour out the accumulated water and move the pot outdoors to speed up evaporation.

3. Root pruning: When the base of the trunk turns black, it means the roots may have rotted. You should remove the plant from the pot in time, clean up the rotten parts, disinfect it, and then change the potting soil and soil.

Are the leaves of gardenia turning yellow and falling off?

Long-term disability symptoms

As soon as the gardenia's flowering period is over, the leaves begin to turn yellow and wilt in waves, and they keep falling off. It looks like the plant is about to be left alone!

Causes of disability

1. Too much watering: If you water too much and the soil in the pot is too sticky and has poor air permeability, the leaves will easily turn yellow. The old leaves and new leaves will turn yellow from bottom to top until they fall off.

Solution: During the dog days of summer, water evaporates quickly, so you can water the plants every day or every 2 to 3 days, depending on the soil's dryness. Keep the soil slightly moist but without water accumulation.

Note: It is best to let the tap water dry for a day or two before watering the flowers, otherwise the leaves will easily turn yellow!

2. Root burn due to excessive fertilizer: Applying fertilizer too frequently in the summer and at too high a concentration will damage the root system, causing the veins and leaves to turn yellow, and in severe cases, the roots will rot and die!

Solution: If you apply too much fertilizer, you should quickly soak the flowerpot in water, or water the roots with a steady stream of water for half an hour to dilute it.

Note: In summer, only apply a thin layer of compound fertilizer once a month. Do not apply it when the temperature rises to 35 degrees.

3. Iron deficiency: Gardenia is prone to chlorosis due to iron deficiency. The leaf veins are green but the leaves turn completely yellow. In severe cases, the leaves may dry up and fall off.

Solution: Dilute ferrous sulfate tablets 500 times with water, then spray them on the leaves once a week.

Succulent plants are growing too tall and leaning to one side?

Long-term disability symptoms

I didn’t dare to expose the succulent plants to too much sun in the summer, so they ended up falling down and becoming like dogs!

Causes of disability

It is easy for succulents to grow stumped. If you give them too much water and too little sunlight, their stems will become elongated, their leaves will become thinner, and they will eventually become too skinny to be looked at.

Solution: For succulents that have become bare, either try to grow them into old stumps, or cut off their heads and let them grow again. During normal maintenance, you can increase the light appropriately and water when the plant is dry and wet.

Tips: Although succulents grow slowly in the summer, don’t be afraid of the sun. If you expose them to the sun for 1 to 2 hours around 3 pm, the succulents will grow short and fat (strong light for a short time).
