Causes and treatments for yellowing geranium leaves

Causes and treatments for yellowing geranium leaves

1. Temperature discomfort

1. Reason: Geranium prefers a warmer growing environment and cannot grow normally in an overly cold or overheated environment. If the temperature where it is grown is not suitable, it will grow poorly and have yellow leaves.

2. Treatment method: It needs to be moved to an environment with a temperature between 15-20℃ for maintenance. In winter, the temperature cannot be lower than 10℃, and in summer, the temperature cannot be higher than 30℃.

2. Excessive fertilization

1. Reason: If you fertilize the plant too frequently, the plant will be unable to absorb the fertilizer applied to the soil. Then the fertilizer will remain in the soil, burn the root system of the plant, and cause yellow leaves.

2. Treatment method: prepare a large basin, place the flower pot in the large basin, and then pour plenty of water into the flower pot to flush out the remaining fertilizer in the soil. After that, place it in a ventilated place to dry, and then slowly maintain it.

3. Too much light

1. Reason: It is a plant that likes light and is suitable for growing in an environment with sufficient light. However, it is not resistant to strong sunlight exposure. If it is exposed to direct sunlight without any shade at noon in summer, it may be sunburned and have yellow leaves.

2. Treatment method: At this time, it should be moved to a slightly shaded environment for maintenance. If there are leaves that turn severely yellow, they need to be cut off. After a while, it will grow new leaves.
