Causes and treatments of yellow leaves of Gloxinia

Causes and treatments of yellow leaves of Gloxinia

1. Excessive watering

1. Reason: Gloxinia likes moisture, but is not tolerant to waterlogging. When caring for it, if you water it too much, water will accumulate in the soil. This will cause its roots to become waterlogged, resulting in yellow leaves.

2. Treatment method: Take the plant out of the original soil and cut off the rotten roots and yellow leaves. After that, place it near the window and let the wind dry the cut ends. Then plant it in flower soil with good drainage and take care of it slowly.

2. Insufficient light

1. Reason: It is a relatively light-loving flower. It needs to be given appropriate amount of light during maintenance so that it can grow well. If there is no sunlight where it is grown, it will not be able to synthesize nutrients and its leaves will turn yellow due to lack of sunlight.

2. Treatment method: You can prepare a desk lamp and place it around the plant to provide it with additional light. However, you need to remember to rotate the pot regularly so that all its leaves can receive sunlight.

3. Improper fertilization

1. Reason: If you accidentally drop fertilizer onto its leaves when fertilizing it, it may burn its leaves and turn them yellow.

2. Treatment method: At this time, you need to cut off the leaves that have turned yellow to prevent them from rotting and attracting diseases and pests. When applying fertilizer in the future, if you accidentally drop fertilizer on its leaves, you need to wipe it off in time.
