What to do if Desert Rose loses leaves

Desert roses drop leaves because they are not adapted to the environment

Generally, when flower lovers buy a pot of Desert Rose, its cultivation environment will change first. The desert roses that you usually buy from the flower market are seeds that have grown in a high temperature and high humidity greenhouse, but there is a big difference between the environment in your home and that in a greenhouse. When the desert rose moves from one environment to another new environment, it first needs to go through a period of adaptation. During this time, the plant will be relatively weak and begin to shed leaves.

However, the fallen leaves of Desert Rose are relatively easy to recover at this time. As long as it is properly maintained, it can generally recover gradually in about a month.

Desert rose leaves fall due to improper watering

Another reason why desert roses shed leaves may be too much water. Desert rose is a plant that likes dryness. It is relatively drought-resistant, but it is afraid of water. Therefore, you must be careful when watering it and not water it too much or too often. If the desert rose is watered too much, it may cause waterlogging in the soil. If you find that the Desert Rose has lost its leaves, you can touch its roots to see if they have softened. If they have softened, it means that root rot may have occurred. At this time, excessive watering leads to waterlogging and root rot, which causes leaf fall.

When growing desert roses, you need to choose sandy soil with good drainage. Do not water it too much in daily life, and it is better to keep the soil dry. If root rot is found, it must be dealt with promptly to prevent damage to the leaves from spreading.
