How to grow delphiniums, can they survive the winter?

1. Planting method

1. Time selection: The planting time of delphinium can be selected in spring and autumn. The temperature in these two time periods is very suitable for growth and germination. Spring is chosen in March and April, and autumn needs to be sown from late August to early September. The time cannot be delayed too late, otherwise the temperature will drop, which is not conducive to germination.

2. Collect seeds: After flowering, the seeds gradually mature. When they mature, they will crack and cause the seeds to scatter. Therefore, you must collect the seeds early. You cannot wait until they are too mature to collect them, otherwise they will be scattered on the ground and will be difficult to deal with. Collect and select the seeds that are plump, healthy and full, and then dry them in the sun.

3. Soil preparation: After processing the seeds, you can prepare the soil for sowing. The soil needs to be loose, breathable, well-drained, and rich in humus.

4. Start sowing: After everything is prepared, you can start sowing. Sow the seeds evenly, maintain a certain distance, keep the temperature within a suitable range, and wait for the seeds to germinate and grow.

2. Can you survive the winter?

Delphiniums are relatively cold-tolerant and have a certain degree of cold resistance, so they can survive the winter. If the winter temperature is too cold, you can take warming measures.
