How long is the growth cycle of lettuce?

Introduction to the growth of rapeseed

Lettuce has a wide adaptability and prefers a cool climate. If it is kept warm in winter and shaded in summer, it can be produced all year round. It is a vegetable variety introduced from abroad and is cultivated in many places in my country.

Lettuce growth cycle

Lettuce prefers a cool, humid and sunny environment, and is suitable for planting in fertile, loose, sunny and well-drained places.

It takes about 40-45 days from sowing to harvesting of lettuce. However, sometimes it is delayed or advanced by about a week, which is normal.

Growth rate of rapeseed

Lettuce grows very fast and can be planted all year round. If you are early, you can grow seedlings in the greenhouse from January to March, and they will emerge in 10-15 days. If the temperature is low, it will take longer to emerge. Then you can transplant them and manage water and fertilizer well, and they can be harvested in one and a half months.

Management of the growth cycle of rapeseed

The yield of lettuce is affected by variety, climate and planting techniques, and the average yield per mu is 2,000-3,000 kilograms.

Temperature management: Lettuce seeds can germinate at 4 degrees, and the suitable growth temperature is 15 to 20 degrees. If the temperature exceeds 25 degrees, the seed coat will be blocked from absorbing water and the germination rate will decrease. It will be difficult to germinate when the temperature exceeds 30 degrees. The suitable temperature for growth in the seedling stage is 16 to 20 degrees.

Fertilization management: Deep plowing is generally carried out in winter. At this time, you can add decomposed organic fertilizer and compound fertilizer to the soil and stir it thoroughly to meet the nutrient needs of the plants.
