How to grow the love fig

How to grow the love fig

1. Daily maintenance methods

1. Watering: During the breeding period, water should be given in time after the cultivation soil becomes dry. Water should not be lacking in spring and autumn. The rising temperature in summer will accelerate the evaporation of water, so you can water more often, but you need to control the water in winter.

2. Sunlight: The location where the plant is kept should have sufficient light. Do not keep it in a place with insufficient light, as this will easily cause poor growth and excessive elongation. Also, don't expose it to too strong light, as it may easily burn the leaves. In addition, the flower pot should be rotated after about half a month of maintenance, otherwise the plant will grow unevenly.

3. Room temperature: The environment where the plant is located should be around 20-35℃. If the room temperature is too high or too low, the growth of Ficus microcarpa will become very weak. Especially in the cold winter, it should be brought indoors in time and the temperature should be kept no lower than 5℃.

2. Methods of reproduction

The most commonly used method is cutting, which is recommended to be carried out in June or July. The cut cuttings should be complete and have at least 2-3 buds on them. Do not remove all the leaves, 1-2 should be retained. The juice from the cut of the cuttings should be rinsed off, and some rooting powder should be applied to it to make it easier for it to take root. Finally, insert the cuttings into the substrate and they will grow roots in about 20 days.
