How many kinds of Dendrobium are there and how to eat them

1. There are several

Dendrobium is a plant of the genus Dendrobium in the Orchidaceae family. It has 76 species. Because its flowers are bright, elegant and fragrant when they bloom, it is one of the "four major ornamental foreign flowers".

Common types of Dendrobium include Dendrobium officinale, Dendrobium Huoshanensis, Dendrobium primrose, Dendrobium nobile, Dendrobium swollen knot, Dendrobium purple, Dendrobium chrysotoxum, Dendrobium whip, Dendrobium dense-flowered, Dendrobium copper-skinned, Dendrobium lip, Dendrobium ring grass, Dendrobium cup sheath, Dendrobium yellow grass, and Dendrobium short stick.

2. How to eat

1. Eat raw: Fresh Dendrobium can be eaten. Wash it first, then put it in your mouth, chew it and swallow it.

2. Make tea: This is a common way to eat it. It also needs to be washed first and then cut into thin slices with a knife, or arranged into granules. After that, soak it in hot water and it can be drunk after about 5 minutes. It can be brewed repeatedly, and the remaining residue is also edible.

3. Make soup: Wash the Dendrobium first. If it has old roots, remove them as well. Chop it into small pieces with a knife, put it into a pot and boil it with water for about half an hour.

4. Soak in wine: Soaking Dendrobium in wine is a good choice. First, clean the impurities on the Dendrobium, slice it or cut it into granules. Prepare the wine to be soaked, seal it in the wine, and it will be ready to drink after about 3 months.
