How to grow potted lilies

How to grow potted lilies

1. Breeding methods

1. Soil: If the soil for lilies is chosen correctly, it will save a lot of time in future care. Peat soil is best for potted lilies. Peat soil has good drainage and air permeability, and it is also rich in nutrients.

2. Temperature: It has strict requirements on the ambient temperature for its growth. Generally, 12-18℃ is more suitable for its growth. However, it also has a certain degree of cold resistance and there will be no problem in the environment of 3-5℃. But in the winter in the north, it is better for flower lovers to move it indoors for cultivation.

3. Light: It is a plant that prefers sunlight. If it grows in a dark environment for a long time, it will have problems such as slow growth and darkening color. It still needs proper shade in summer, as strong light will burn it.

4. Watering: Its water management is also very simple. It is best to keep the soil slightly moist during normal maintenance. However, the amount of watering should not be too large. Watering in small amounts frequently will be sufficient. This will avoid water accumulation and root rot.

2. Breeding Methods

There are many ways to propagate it, among which the simplest is the bulb division method. In this method, the bulbous roots naturally grow from the roots of the mother plant. We can directly use this bulbous root for planting. Compared with other propagation methods, it saves a lot of tedious steps. Flower lovers can try it.
