How to grow large jade plants

How to grow large jade plants

1. Breeding conditions

1. Soil

When caring for large jade plants, you need to use soil with good drainage, and the best soil is the one with high looseness and fertility. You can use garden soil and mix it with leaf mold.

2. Lighting

It has relatively high requirements for sunlight, which cannot be too strong or too weak. Too strong a light may easily burn the plants, while too weak a light may not achieve the desired effect. When maintaining it, do not place it under direct sunlight as it is prone to sunburn. You can build a sunshade on it. The sunlight in the morning and afternoon is relatively mild, so it can be exposed to direct sunlight.

3. Watering

Watering is irregular, and it can only be watered when it is suddenly and completely dry. Because its leaves are relatively thick and can store water, there is no need to water it too much.

4. Fertilization

The main fertilizer for it is diluted and decomposed fertilizer. When applying fertilizer, do not pour it directly on the plant. It should be poured three or four centimeters away from the roots, otherwise it is easy to burn the seedlings. If you use animal manure for nutrient supplementation, you can apply it closer to the roots so that it does not directly contact the roots.

2. Breeding Methods

Large jade plants can be propagated by sowing, which is a more complicated method and requires artificial pollination. Bury the seeds in the soil, and then transplant them after they sprout.

3. Pest and disease control

You can usually spray it with diluted beer water. Beer has a disinfecting effect and can effectively prevent and treat viral infections. If it is infected with pests, you need to spray DDT for insect control.
