1. Breeding conditions

1. Water: During the cultivation of Alocasia odora, the soil should not be too dry, and there should be no stagnant water. You need to follow the method of not watering unless the soil is dry to help the plants replenish water. In summer, water evaporation will accelerate, so not only should you keep it moist, but you should also spray the leaves with water frequently.

2. Temperature: Create a growth environment of 20-30℃ for it. Controlling the appropriate temperature is also very beneficial to its growth. You don’t need to worry about the temperature in spring and autumn, but you should pay attention to adjusting the temperature in winter, and it should not be lower than 15℃, especially the temperature at night, which should be controlled above 5℃.

3. Fertilization: When fertilizing the plants, do not let the fertilizer splash onto the leaves. Fertilization should be done in the morning and evening on sunny days, with an interval of about 20 days between each application. It is best to use dilute liquid fertilizer or compound fertilizer. In severe winter, fertilization should be stopped.

Cutting method: Use scissors to cut off the full leaves from the healthy mother plant. The leaves used for cuttings must be free of insect pests. Prepare a clean substrate, place the leaves flat on the substrate, no need to cover with soil, provide appropriate shade, and small roots will grow in about half a month.
