There are more than a thousand lilac trees in the temple, all of which are over two hundred years old. The most famous are the twenty or so trees bestowed by the emperor during the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty. The Lilac Culture Festival is held here as scheduled from April to May every year. At that time, tourists come in groups to admire the lilac flowers. The breeze blows gently, and bees and butterflies fly around, which creates a unique atmosphere.

There are so many lilacs in this temple that the front and back courtyards are planted with lilacs. In addition, the species are very rare and there are even exotic species. When the flowers bloom, they are so beautiful that they cannot be described in words. You can choose to visit in late April or mid-May.

Beijing Botanical Garden Lilac Garden

This is a very complete ornamental plant area. When planting lilacs, choose to plant them in clusters or groups, with a group of up to twenty plants. Because they are planted in groups, they look very neat and uniform. There are more than twenty species planted, including both common and rare varieties. Because there are so many species, the viewing period is also long.
