How to grow jasmine

How to grow jasmine

1. Harvesting seeds

The fruit of the jasmine flower is about the same size as a pea seed, with one seed in each fruit. They are usually harvested in the twelfth lunar month. Then, place the pulp in a dry and ventilated place to dry, take out the seeds for storage, and wait until spring to plant them.

2. Germination Treatment

Before planting, you need to do a good job of germination. Put the stored seeds in clean water. The water temperature should not be too high. Warm water is best. Soak for 12-24 hours. Usually the seeds are fished out after they have absorbed enough water, as they are easier to germinate after absorbing water.

3. Prepare the matrix

It is also important to prepare a suitable substrate. The nutrient soil used for planting should have a certain degree of air permeability, and avoid using soil with too low viscosity. The cultivation soil must also have good drainage, otherwise the seeds will rot easily. Use high-temperature disinfection to sterilize the soil, and then put it into the flowerpot.

4. Planting

After the germination treatment, the seeds are directly sown into the soil and then covered with a layer of soil of 1-2 cm. After planting, use the immersion pot method to replenish water. If you water it too much, the seeds will easily be washed away. After replenishing water, just wait for it to take root and sprout.
