How to grow aloe vera and what kind of soil is needed

1. Choose the soil

Aloe vera has relatively high requirements for soil. You must use breathable and fertile soil. Soil that is too poor or too thick will affect its growth. And the pH value of cultivation should be between 6.5-7.2. If planted in such soil, it will adapt to the environment faster and grow more robustly. You can also prepare the soil yourself by mixing humus soil, farmland soil and river sand.

2. Selecting seedlings

When planting, you can use aloe stems or seedlings with small roots. No matter which type it is, it must be upright enough and should not show signs of wilting or being attacked by pests and diseases. Such seedlings will not grow well even if they are properly maintained, and will also pollute the soil.

3. Planting

Put the soil into the flowerpot, dig a small hole in the middle of the pot, and carefully plant the seedlings in it. Be careful not to plant the seedlings directly into the soil, as this may cause damage and affect their growth. After planting, cover its roots with soil to fix its root system.

4. Planting Management

If you want it to grow well, you need to manage it properly after planting and water it appropriately, but not excessively. It is relatively drought-resistant, so it only needs to be replenished once every three days or so. Usually it should be placed in a ventilated place and can be exposed to the sun for a short period of time.
