Cabbage seed germination method

Cabbage seed germination method

To germinate cabbage, first fill a basin with warm water at about 55℃, then soak the seeds in it for about 15 minutes. After soaking, continue to soak the seeds in 30℃ water for 6-8 hours, and then put the seeds in an environment of about 30℃ for germination.

Cabbage germination method

The method of germinating cabbage seeds is very simple. First, you need to select seeds with full grains and no pests as germination materials, and then soak the seeds in potassium permanganate solution for 5 minutes. Note that this step cannot be omitted because the seeds need to be disinfected. After the seeds are taken out and cleaned, wrap the seeds with a wet cloth and then put them in a ventilated and cool environment. It only takes about a week for the seeds to germinate.

Cabbage seedling planting

Step 1: Prepare the seedling tray

Since the cabbage seedlings are relatively small, it is best to choose a seedling tray with many holes, which can reduce the floor space. It is best to use a seedling tray with 128 holes, which is also easy to manage.

Step 2: Prepare the soil for seedling cultivation

You can prepare the seedling soil yourself, or you can buy the common matrix soil for vegetable seedlings on the market, which is not expensive. However, it should be noted that the nutrients in the purchased nutrient soil are not very sufficient. You can choose to add some organic fertilizer to it before sowing.

Step 3: Sowing

We can first add fungicides, insecticides and other solvents that are helpful in reducing pests and pathogens into the nutrient soil, then add an appropriate amount of water to make the soil moist, and finally put the seeds on a tray.
