Cultivation methods and precautions of wine glass roses

Wineglass roses come in different sizes, and the bigger they are, the more expensive they are. Succulents like wineglass roses are difficult to grow in good condition. They have very high requirements for the environment. Once the environment is not suitable, they are prone to black rot. However, when they are grown in good condition, they are very beautiful, and the green leaves can turn pink after being exposed to the sun.

How to grow wine glass roses

1. Soil selection

The root system of wineglass rose is shallow, so it is suitable for planting in loose, breathable soil with good drainage. It can be mixed with pond mud, garden soil, leaf mold, etc. During the breeding period, it is important to loosen the soil regularly to keep the soil permeable and loose.

2. Environment

Wineglass rose is a light-loving succulent plant. It should be placed in a sunny place in spring and autumn, and shaded in summer. In the process of caring for wineglass rose, the temperature needs to be controlled at around 20-22 degrees, because wineglass rose is not resistant to high temperature. If the temperature is above 35 degrees, the plant will stop growing.

3. Moisture

Wineglass roses prefer dry environments and are drought-resistant and not afraid of waterlogging. In order to meet the normal growth needs of the plant, just keep the soil moist when watering the wineglass roses. If it rains, stop watering.

4. Proper fertilization

In order for the wineglass rose to be in good condition, it needs to be provided with sufficient fertilizer. During the growth period, you can apply thin liquid fertilizer once every half a month or a month. Choose granular slow-release fertilizer, and pay attention to the amount and concentration each time you apply fertilizer to avoid fertilizer damage.

Wine glass rose maintenance precautions

It is difficult for the wine glass rose succulent to grow normally under high temperatures. When the summer temperature exceeds 35℃, the succulent will stop growing. At this time, you should pay attention to ventilation, maintain air circulation, and lower the temperature in the growth environment.

When watering the wine glass rose, you should follow the principle of watering when the soil is dry and watering thoroughly when it is dry. Never let there be too much water in the soil. Each time you water, water along the periphery of the flowerpot, not directly from the top, otherwise water will accumulate in the center of the leaves and they will rot.
