Cultivation methods and precautions of potted wolfberry

Potted wolfberries are very easy to grow. Cut a healthy wolfberry branch into moist soil and place it in a cool and ventilated environment. Water it frequently to keep the soil moist. In about a week, new buds and roots will grow.

How to grow wolfberry in pots

1. Pot soil

To cultivate wolfberry bonsai, you need to use sandy soil, garden soil, and humus soil, mixed in a ratio of 1:2:2. Moreover, the soil must be air permeable and well-drained, and loose and fertile soil to enable the potted wolfberry to grow better.

2. Lighting

Although wolfberry is shade-tolerant, it prefers a growing environment with sufficient light. Wolfberries that are exposed to more sunlight will have a higher fruit-bearing rate and look better in the landscape. However, the summer sun will burn its leaves and flowers, so it is necessary to use a shade net to provide shade in time.

3. Fertilization

When cultivating wolfberry in potted plants, nitrogen fertilizer or decomposed cake fertilizer can be applied once every half a month, and foliar fertilizer can be sprayed once a month. At the same time, in order to allow the leaves of wolfberry to receive fertilizer nutrients more evenly, you can use a spray bottle to spray fertilizer, and pay attention to applying thin fertilizers frequently when applying topdressing.

Precautions for potted wolfberry maintenance

When caring for potted wolfberries, you must pay attention to wintering and beware of frostbite. Moreover, wolfberries will hibernate in winter. In order to avoid frostbite, you should give them a rough pruning and take appropriate insulation protection. In addition, in order to avoid bud drop, you must pay attention to watering after the Beginning of Autumn.
