Velvet flower cultivation methods and precautions

Velvet flower is not very difficult to grow. During the maintenance period, the requirements of sunlight and temperature need to be met. It is best to grow it in a diffuse light environment and just make sure to keep it warm when the weather is cold.

How to grow velvet flower

1. Temperature

Velvet flower likes a warm and humid growing environment. The suitable temperature for the plant's growth is 18-25℃. It needs to be provided with a suitable temperature during maintenance. The maintenance temperature in summer should not exceed 35℃.

2. Watering

During the growing season, velvet flowers must be watered sufficiently to keep the soil in the pot slightly moist, but water cannot accumulate, which will cause root rot or even death.

3. Humidity

Velvet flowers also have certain requirements for air humidity. It is best to keep it at around 70-80%. In winter, it should be kept slightly dry to prevent the plant from being frostbitten.

4. Lighting

Velvet flowers should avoid strong sunlight, but they cannot be completely away from light, otherwise it will affect the normal photosynthesis. Just provide about 70% shade in the summer.

5. Soil

It is best to repot the velvet flower every year. The soil can be prepared with leaf mold, bone meal, river sand, etc., and then placed in a semi-shaded place for cultivation.

Velvet flower care precautions

It is quite difficult to grow velvet flower into a good-looking state. The maintenance environment needs to have sufficient light and the temperature difference between day and night needs to reach more than 10℃, so that the plant can grow better.
