How to cultivate golden diamond and what to pay attention to

Growth habits of golden diamond

Golden Diamond likes a warm and humid growing environment. It is not resistant to direct sunlight. It only needs to be maintained with diffuse light. It is suitable for planting in loose, well-drained, humus-rich slightly acidic sandy loam. It is not resistant to low temperature environment. The winter temperature should be above 10 degrees.

Lighting requirements for gold diamonds

Golden Diamond can be exposed to the sun, but cannot withstand direct strong light. Except for the winter when it can be placed in the sun, it needs to be shaded to varying degrees. It is best to keep it in semi-shade or a place with sufficient scattered light. Shading measures are needed in the summer.

Gold diamond growth temperature

The golden diamond is suitable for growing in an environment of 20-30 degrees, so there is basically no need to control the temperature when autumn just begins. It is relatively suitable in itself. In order to prevent it from being frozen in late autumn, the temperature should be adjusted appropriately. It should be kept above 20 degrees as much as possible, and at least above 10 degrees.

Golden Diamond Breeding Method

The golden diamond needs to be planted in a well-drained, fertile and loose flower soil. It should be watered in time during maintenance, but it should not be allowed to be waterlogged. Usually, it should be placed in a slightly shaded position indoors and provide it with scattered light. Apply some slow-release fertilizer with high nitrogen content every two months.

Golden Diamond Watering

When watering the golden diamond, it is best to judge whether to water it based on the state of the surface soil. If the soil is dry, water it thoroughly once, but never allow water to accumulate. During the rainy season, it is also necessary to avoid it being rained on. If the potting soil is too moist, it will cause root rot.

Golden Diamond Fertilizer

The main fertilizer for the golden diamond is in the autumn, once or twice a month, the concentration must not be too high, and the amount should not be too much. The fertilizer at this stage is mainly nitrogen fertilizer. By the end of autumn, it basically has no requirements for fertilizer.

Diamond Pruning

During the maintenance of the golden diamond, the withered and yellow leaves that are about to fall off can be trimmed off. In addition, the branches and leaves with diseases and insect pests should also be cut off. The dense and poorly growing branches and leaves should be thinned out to increase the ventilation of the plant and reduce nutrient consumption. Just be careful not to cut too hard.

Cutting propagation of golden diamond

Golden Diamond can be propagated by cuttings from May to September. Choose stems that grow well and have longer branches. The most important requirement for the substrate is that it is loose and breathable. River sand can be used mainly. After trimming the selected stems, insert them obliquely into the river sand. The temperature should be kept at around 25 degrees and the humidity should be high enough, and the rooting speed will be very fast.

Precautions for maintenance of gold diamonds

The golden diamond is not resistant to low temperature environment. The winter temperature should be above 10 degrees and not lower than 5 degrees. It is best to move it indoors for maintenance, control watering and stop fertilizing. During midsummer, the plant grows vigorously and the soil needs to be kept moist and the air humidity should be kept high. Spray water on the leaves more often.
