Cultivation methods and precautions of red flower jade

The red jade cactus is relatively easy to grow among many cacti. It will not die even if it is not watered for a month. It is the most common and hard-working type of cactus. Although it blooms a lot and hard, it is relatively cheap and more popular.

Cultivation method of red flower jade

1. Temperature

The red flower jade has a wide adaptability to temperature. As long as the temperature is kept above ten degrees and it is exposed to the sun frequently, it will be able to bloom. It is usually in a budding state in the morning, opens at two or three o'clock in the afternoon, and begins to close again at night.

2. Lighting

When growing the red flower jade, you need to choose a location with plenty of sunlight. If the light is good, it can bloom continuously. If the environment is dark or it rains frequently, it will not bloom even if it has flower buds. If the light is not sufficient, growing the red flower jade can only be regarded as a ball.

3. Flower pots

Don't use a too big flowerpot for the crimson jade plant. Generally, a ten-centimeter pot will do. The soil should be loose and breathable. It can be prepared with nutrient soil and granular soil in equal proportions. The granular soil can be coal slag or volcanic rock. This way, it is loose, breathable, and water-permeable, and has sufficient nutrients. Just water it once every 4-7 days.

4. Fertilization

If you want the red flower jade to bloom continuously, you must fertilize it frequently. Sprinkle some slow-release fertilizer in the flowerpot, and add a little Huaduoduo No. 2 every time you water it. This is a water-soluble fertilizer that is easier for the soil to absorb. If you maintain it in this way, the ball of the red flower jade will grow bigger and bigger, and will continue to bloom.

Precautions for the maintenance of red flower jade

The red jade plant is afraid of strong light in the summer, so it must be placed in a shaded place in the summer to avoid sunburn of the leaves and reduce its ornamental value. In winter and spring, it must be placed on a south-facing balcony to increase the light and meet its light requirements so that it can bloom successfully.

Because the red flower jade likes a warm growing environment, its cold resistance is relatively weak. After October, when the temperature drops, you should stop fertilizing and control watering, and keep the soil in the pot dry.
