Crops suitable for planting in January

January is relatively cold, which requires crops to be more cold-resistant and frost-resistant. There is also less precipitation in this season, so it is not suitable for crops that require too much water. The following crops are more suitable for planting in January:

1. Potatoes

Potatoes are commonly known as potatoes. Potatoes have strong adaptability and there are many varieties. They can be sown in winter and harvested in summer, or sown in summer and harvested in autumn. It is very suitable to plant potatoes in January.

2. Radish:

Most people prefer to eat radishes because they have the function of relieving gas. Radishes are a common crop in winter. The growth period of radishes is very fast. Basically, they can be mature and picked 1 to 2 months after planting.

3. Rapeseed:

Rapeseed, also known as rapeseed flowers, mostly bloom and mature in spring every year, but you must pay attention to the time period when sowing.

Otherwise, if you sow too early, it will easily bloom prematurely and reduce the yield. If you sow too late, it will not be able to survive the winter and will not bloom. It is best to sow rapeseed in late autumn or early winter.

4. Soybeans

January is relatively cold, and soybeans will grow slowly or not grow at all. It is generally not recommended to plant soybeans in January.

The best planting period for soybeans can be divided into two stages. The first stage is from March to April each year, the second stage is from May to June each year, and the last stage is from September to October. It is not recommended to plant soybeans if it is too cold.
