Zebra flower cultivation methods and precautions

Zebra flower cultivation methods and precautions

Zebra flower is very easy to grow. It has large leaves with silver veins, which look very delicate, like zebra stripes. As long as it is properly maintained, it can be both ornamental and blooming, and is very beautiful.

How to grow zebra flowers

1. Soil

When growing zebra flowers, it is best to choose loose, breathable, fertile soil, and the soil should be acidic. It is not tolerant to salt and alkali. It is recommended to use a mixture of garden soil, sandy soil, and leaf mold as the soil.

2. Lighting

Zebra flower is more suitable for growing in shaded conditions. It is very afraid of strong light and can be easily burned by light, so it should be placed in a shaded place indoors for cultivation, but it can be exposed to scattered light occasionally.

3. Temperature

The growth temperature of zebra flower is between 20℃-28℃. The temperature cannot be too low. It is not cold-resistant. When the temperature is below 8℃, it will suffer from frost damage. Therefore, pay attention to keep it warm in winter when the temperature is low.

Zebra flower maintenance precautions

When caring for zebra flowers, be careful not to place them in a dark, damp, and poorly ventilated corner for a long time, as this will easily breed pests and diseases and affect the health of the plant. In addition, if you find yellow leaves, dead branches, diseased and weak branches, as well as overly long and overly messy branches and leaves, you need to trim them in time to reduce nutrient loss, facilitate ventilation and light transmission, and promote the sprouting of new branches.
