Advantages and Disadvantages of Yuzen Rose

Advantages and Disadvantages of Yuzen Rose

Yuzen is a variety of rose produced in Japan. The height of this rose plant is about 100-120 cm. Its flower is about 9 cm in diameter after opening. The color of the flower changes from fiery crimson to red or lavender. As time goes by, the purple tone of its flower will gradually deepen. If you use it to put it in a vase, its color will turn directly into purple. Some Yuzen roses will also grow some light pink patches, which is very beautiful.

Advantages of Yuzen Rose

Once the Yuzen rose blooms, many flowers will grow at the same time. It has many petals, which are arranged very closely, and the flower shape is also very delicate. Moreover, the longer its single round of flowering period lasts, the longer the life of the whole plant. The fragrance of this flower is very pleasant, exuding a refreshing tea aroma, and over time it will have a mixed fruit aroma.

Disadvantages of Yuzen Rose

Yuzen rose also has some shortcomings. For example, because its plant is too upright, its branching ability is slightly poor. In the early stage of growth, its growth rate is also relatively slow, and you need to wait patiently for it to bloom.

Key points for maintaining Yuzen

When growing Yuzen roses, you should cut off the excess branches and leaves before they bloom. This will encourage them to grow strong new branches and bud and bloom early. Also, please note that potted Yuzen roses must be repotted once a year. After more than three years, you only need to repot them every year and there is no need to repot them.
