What are the cultivation methods and precautions of the money tree?

The money tree is a foliage plant that is loved by many flower lovers. It has the beautiful meaning of "attracting wealth and gathering fortune". It is not only easy to cultivate, but also has lush branches and leaves, and is green and full of vitality all year round. It is very suitable for beautifying the home environment.

How to cultivate the money tree

1. Soil

The money tree is suitable for planting in soil with high humus content, looseness, fertility and good drainage. You can prepare it yourself by mixing leaf mold, garden soil, bone meal and decomposed bean cake. It is best not to use heavy clay soil for cultivation. Soil that is too clayey can easily cause poor growth of the money tree.

2. Lighting

The money tree is a sun-loving plant, so it needs to be placed in a location with sufficient light for maintenance so that it can fully carry out photosynthesis. In addition, the soil in the pot needs to be turned every 5 days or so to allow it to receive even light. In winter, the environment needs to be kept warm and comfortable to avoid low temperatures that cause the leaves of the money tree to fall off.

3. Moisture

During the growth period of the money tree, it needs to be watered reasonably. Generally, it should be watered thoroughly after the soil is completely dry. When the climate is dry, water should be sprayed around the leaves to retain moisture. In winter, the amount of watering should be reduced to avoid the root rot of the money tree caused by low temperature.

4. Fertilizer

During the growth of the money tree, it is necessary to ensure sufficient nutrients so that the leaves can grow vigorously. A thin layer of decomposed liquid fertilizer can be applied every half a month. When fertilizing, avoid applying raw fertilizer and concentrated fertilizer, which will cause fertilizer damage.

Precautions for the maintenance of the money tree

The money tree likes sunshine, but cannot tolerate direct sunlight. It usually needs shade in summer and be moved to a cool place indoors. In other seasons, it can be placed in a place with bright scattered light to allow the plant to grow more healthily and the leaves will become darker green and more shiny.

The money tree prefers a warm growing environment and cannot tolerate low temperatures in winter. Therefore, it needs to be moved to a warm indoor environment for maintenance before winter. The temperature should be controlled at around 10 degrees. At this time, reduce watering and stop fertilizing.
